(OOC: This is a rough outline of Darin's daily routine. Feel free to comment to this post with a time and location if you want to thread! This post is meant to be a catch-all contact post to thread out and expand on things that happen in game that might be too little for a log! Anything is game! Open to all! And feel free to have someone catch Darin someplace that isn't necessarily listed! He gets around, for sure!)

Sunrise to Early Morning

[It is around this time that you'll catch Darin out at the beach. He's doing his usual training regiment; jogging around the temple, sit ups, push-ups, liberally exercising whatever magical abilities he's awoken. He might be sparring with a clone projection, practicing summoning his weapon, or maybe just cooling down. Afterwards, he goes in search for metal, whether it's at the junkyard, or digging into the cliff face for whatever he can find!]

Morning to Afternoon

[Around this time, you'll see Darin around Waverly Bay. He might have his stall set up and selling his wares, or he might be running errands for the sake of the townspeople. Maybe he's doing some repairs around town, or lending a hand wherever it's needed. If it's slow, he's relaxing and getting some food, or maybe he's taking a nap under a tree! He's around though, that's for sure.]

Afternoon to Evening

[Around this time, Darin might be rustling up some dinner. Once the sun starts to dip, he'll head home for the day. He likes to take a more scenic route home so he can watch the sun set over the horizon. It's one of his favorite things to do. You might catch him along this route, or maybe catch him in his room in the Temple, where he's hard at work in his forge, working on parts and custom orders. He keeps his door open though, and when you look in, it'll be the storefront to his Smithy back in Kenmore. Don't be shy to come on in, the door's open for a reason!]

Evening to Night

[If it's a nice, clear evening, you'll find Darin out on the beach. Maybe he's training, maybe he's just wandering aimlessly, barefoot, through the surf. If it's a particularly clear night, you may find him climbing the cliff face. When he reaches the top, he'll watch the stars before making his way back down. If it's nice, he might just sleep out there! If it's raining, he'll be in the Temple, doing some sketching in his notebook.]

It's a surprise. Besides, I need Garnet's help with it.

Damn, I was hoping for a sneak peak!

It's hard to give one when my partner in this isn't here.

Well, do you know any tricks?

Tricks... ah.

[She rubs her neck.]

Like what?

Like, you know...magic tricks! Sleight of hand! Things like that!

[He hops up and sits on their special rock.]

We used to have this traveling mage that would come by Kenmore when I was a kid. He used to do all kinds of tricks.

Then again, I guess 'magic show' has a different connotation when you're actually magic...

Heh...sorry, this is all still pretty new to me.

No no it's alright. I just don't really have anything "magical" that you probably haven't seen before.

[She shrugs, holding her arms.]

I just have my holograms really, for now. I don't have anything else.

Still, yours was a lot more impressive than mine.

At least yours doesn't embarrass you!

[He laughs.]

Though, I do have you to thank for getting me to summon him.

[With that, his gem sparks and his clone appears behind him, standing on the rock.]

See? I'm getting pretty good at this magic business!

It wasn't me! It was all you.

[She blinks, walking back a few steps to get a better look at the clone.]

You are! Very impressive.

[The clone starts to flex.]

I know I am~!

[Darin sighs.]

He's doing something stupid and embarrassing isn't he.

[She covers her mouth, laughing.]

A little, yes.

You don't have to hide it, he's used to girls laughing at him, right??

[Darin kicks off the rock and turns on his clone.]

That's it!

[He tackles the clone off the rock.]

Darin!

[She rushes to the other side of the rock, to try and help pry the two away.]

That's enough you two!

[They're grappling and yanking at each other pretty fiercely, but when Pear breaks out the mom voice, they both freeze with the exact same 'busted' look.]

[But which one is the real one?]

[She gasps and... oh shit, she lost track. Pearl takes a step back, looking between the both of them.]

I ah...

Sorry, Pearl...this jerk just gets under my skin...

[He punches the other in the shoulder.]

What the hell! Don't act like I'm the one at fault here!

[Punch back]

Darin... I don't--

[She looks between them.]

I don't know who is who.

Oh come on! It's me! I'm the real one! [Naturally, that was in stereo.]

[The two look at each other again and start shoving each other.]

What the hell?! Stop confusing her!

You're the one confusing her!

Why can't I just make you poof away like last time?!

Because I'm the real one! Stop screwing around!!

Darin. Dismiss your clone.

[That's the only way to know who is who, right?]

I'm trying!

I haven't gotten the hang of that part yet!!

[Theyre just glowering at one another.]

Stop answering for me! I was about to say that!

[She frowns a little, looking between them again.]

Then keep trying! You've done it before! You said you were practicing.

I have been!! I can summon him just fine! It's the other half I have a problem with!

[They both glare at each other.]

Can you really not tell who's who?
